Hi Everyone,

I currently have a 4.5 Cerbera and a Range Rover. The problem is I dont get to drive the TVR much as when we are going out we tend to need the RR. I'm thinking of changing both to one car and wanted opinions on an RS6. I have also thought about an M5 but dont think it would be practical enough coming from a RR.

Any thoughts, advive or opinions welcome

cheers
Gareth

Gazm,

I sold my Cerbera in the summer and I can honestly say that the acceleration from the RS6 is as good as the Cerbs. The torque from the RS6 is fantastic just one constant wave. Plus I can now scare the whole family and the dog!

The only downside is the Cerb won hands down when it came to the noise produced from the exhaust. Although a Miltek system should help come a close second. biggrin

Gazm, go for the RS6! you won't regret it. Just make sure you get one with a good warranty, as they can make the Cerb look cheap to maintain in comparison.

think we met at SRR when you first got your Cerb, it's a cracking looking car

Its like Jackal and Hide laugh

I really cant justify having the Cerb - this Year I'd be lucky if its done 1500 miles - does anyone want o do a swap? where would the best place be to ask!

Howard - your RS6 looks the absolute nuts!

Dont forget that Cerbs are sometimes selling for peanuts. A 2001 red rose in good colours went for £12K ish on ebay the other week.

There are either some very stupid people out there or there was something seriously wrong with it - mine is 2001 with 13000 miles on the clock and in great condition

I understand what you are saying but I think a lot has to do with age and condition - and what people are prepared tp let them go for. Any car will depreciate but I do think that these cars have leveled out (bearing in mind its Winter now)

Hi - I am in need of a new steed. Cant really justify another TVR etc.... Not sure I am a 911 type. So am thinking an Rs4 or maybe just a Golf GTI. Having just bought a new house that needs a fortune spent on it, with a huge mortgage and bought the wife a new Discovery 3 etc.... I really ought to spend less money on a car but I really want rid of my Merc E320CDI. Not my cup of tea for an every day car. Need something a little more alive.

from what I can gather an RS4/6 would fit the bill
