sold my B4 2.8e Coupe Quattro http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/274686.htm last month and ended up with the above. I have had 2 B4 2.8 quattros, great cars but hand was forced by the missus for something newer. Must say pretty impressed with the new car, went for an avant as i can get my bike in/on it much easier, not as pretty but it handles bloody well. Came with some nice extra toys, bose being the best of the bunch cruise is usefull but in the scottish countryside i get little chance to use it. Torque is great but i sort of miss the long revving nature of a petrol and getting used to a 6 speed box. But its a good compromise and i am all round pretty happy wit the car. Can properly move if pushed.

Little niggles, the indicator switch seems to have a mind of its own at times doesnt cancel too well, anyone else get this?

Flickering light behind the main beam knob, needs a new illumination bulb, anyone know how to access this, is there a haynes / bentley for this car?

Rear boot does like shutting, needs a bit of a slam sometimes which i dont like.

What are the internal differences between the 150 and the 180 2.5tdi's?

Other than those wee niggles its a solid car, drives well and so far is returning me 38mpg for good driving pleasure.

All I can tell you is that the indicator is a masterpiece. Takes a bit of getting used to, flick it too hard and it will bounce to opposite. But the masterpiece bit of it is the tap. Press it down or pull up to just before it actually clicks and let go again and the car will indicate for a couple of seconds good for lane changes etc.

Hmm sounds like you are being a bit aggresive with it. Requires a dgree of smoothness. It really is fantastic once you get the hang of it. Bearing in mind you dont have to push or pull very hard or far at all just very light pressure and for a second or two and let go. Trust me over time and with practice you will get used to it and you will appreciate the benefit of not having to cancel your indicator yourself.

When I first got mine I had the same issue in fact almost turned round and went back to dealers 3miles after picking it up but figured it out and am now happy.
