Ipod Fitted yesterday
Discussion
Guys and girls,
I need some help - i had a vw dealer fit their ipod adaptor thing in the glovebox yesterday but am not very happy with it; first of all it makes the cd multichanger defunct - which would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that you can't see track names on the factory fit sat nav and you can only play playlists through the cd numbers (ie cd 1-6 is now playlist 1-6).
Does anyone know a specialist in London who can help and get more functionality or even get it plumbed through the aux input and haev the cd player back?
Many thanks...

Yes, speak to AI Audio in Slough (Mill Street Behind Tesco), Duncan is the man you need and his number is 01753 575 220
Alternatively Auto Audio in Park Royal, they're more expensive but there is all manner of exotica in their workshop to ogle http://www.autoaudio.uk.com/

I bought a Dension gateway 300 with the CD changer retention kit, which I'm planning to install.
The unit in my car is the Symphonie.
I've been told the cd changer will be able to work, but I'm not sure how the playlist should be as I'm using a 160G hard drive rather than Ipod.

I opted for the Dension GWay 100 / inc CD Rention works a treat. But due to limitations of the VW Gamma Head unit it does not display full track info. Whereas in a vehicle with full height DIS it will put the info there. The unit in my car is the Symphonie.
