hi, av got a mk4 golf gt tdi 130. I am getting knocking coming from both sides of the front end, sounds like bushes are away? anybody any ideas? its only done 60 thou

sounds like bushes commonly the arb ones. also could be the top mount bushes on the struts but check the arb ones first.

ARB bushes most likely. Had this on a MKIV TDI at around 42K miles. Not too expensive to resolve.

The bushes i think cost no more than £10-£15 then its 1-2 hours labour but i would avoid dealer and goto a local garage or something where it would be much cheaper

forgot to also mention that sometimes the arb itself may need replacing as they are prone to corroding where they meet the bush which causes the squeak.
There about 200-300 to replace from dealer but again pick one up and get it done cheaper at a local garage/specialist

Took it in the day and got price 78 pound all in. Just going 2 get it done! 6 pound each for the bushes and 1 hour labour

I, inch in bathgate its my nearest vw dealer. I know its dear but peace of mind

thats a good price for the dealers.
bushes wear out over time but you really notice the difference when they get changed.
