Audi A6 - Voice recognition, not recognising!!!
Discussion
Have got a recurring problem with my A6 (2006) voice recognition system. Basically, system works fine from a cold start, but, following a short shut-down (typically to fill up with fuel) the system fails. Result is a total inability to enter voice commands, including making phone calls - system either responds with 'pardon' or 'please say a command', or incorrectly interprets what is being asked of it. System only works again after a long shut down, say over night.
Local main dealer (who I have to say have been excellent) are stumped - have tried numerous things to fix the problem, all to no effect. Audi Technical also appear to be stumped - thought they had it cracked with replacing the microphone, only to have it fail again whilst they were road testing.
Has anyone else experienced this problem - if so, what was the solution?
Know that a lot of Master Tech's and other experts browse this forum from time to time - would be enormously grateful for any suggestions as to likely cause or possible fix's.

Thanks for the info. Am pretty certain its not the phone - I even spent £100 (outrageous, by the way) on the connector/charger thingy that fits neetly into the armrest. Still won't work - and seems strange that problems only present themselves following a short shut-down.
Any one else with any throughts/ideas/etc?
