White seems to be the new silver ever since Plod switched to buying silver cars. It suits some cars and not others. Went past the Audi showroom in London in November and everyone of the cars in there was white. Which model are you looking at?

Should look good. The 3.0TDi is an excellent engine, currently have the A6 with that engine, with a little help from Superchips, and it is so smooth. I change it in 2 weeks for an A8L with the same engine. Good on fuel, can get 44+ on a run with 3 passengers, luggage and air-con on cruising at 80ish. Enjoy.

The problem I have with white cars, is, they remind me of white vans painted that way so they are easy to letter, so they look cheap.

I'd agree with that if it was a 'boring' car, Mondeo estate for example would look like a window cleaner's transport!

Something vaguely interesting however would look very smart, check out the RS4 white edition!

They can be chipped to 285 ish, so should go very well with the 1655Kg weight.
