Can anyone help me with a power loss problem on my A6 4.2?

I went through some flood water near my house last night that was a little deeper than I anticipated. I got through ok with no problems.

This morning, I pulled out on to the dual carriageway and the power went in judders with my traction control and ESP lights all lit up. Then all the power disappeared - the engine seemed to be idling, but the accelerator pedal did nothing. Shutting down and restarting fixed the problem and the rest of the journey was ok. However, on my return journey, as soon as I joined the Motorway, I had exactly the same thing and had to pull over on the hard shoulder and restart the engine.

I suspect I have water in a sensor or in my electrics somewhere. I intend to go to my local Audi specialist on Monday to get it checked out. Is there anything I can do in the mean time? Has anyone else experienced this before?

After further testing today, it only seems to happen above 3500 / 4000 rpm.

Thanks for the heads up on the temp sensor - will get them to look into that first!
