Is 140K considered too high on this engine?
The rest of the car looks really good.

These engines need regular and correct servicing as well as sympathetic warming up/cooling down. If the history is patchy or the owner seems to have a heavy right foot I'd walk away.

Well, the seller is the last owners brother(he passed away) and there is an IAM badge in the front window.
The seller says the badge must be from previous owner as his brother wasnt IAM.

The car has full Audi service history.

Well if someoen has spent the cash on what is getting to be a fairly old car that's a good start I suppose. Recent MOT? Any oil smoke?

MOT till 'sept, bit of smoke when started tonight, but not oily, it has been standing..
