Misano Red looks awesome in the metal. Pics don't do it justice.

No, not metallic. I mean in real life, like "in the flesh". wink

Thanks all ..is Misano a metalic/ pearl colour though? as I'm gonna be squirtin it on myself . I agree it looks very lush indeed . There was also a deeper blood red that you see on Audis, I like that as well ...

Cheers

There's 'Brilliant Red' as well which is a solid colour - my A4 Avant is this colour.

Misano Red is a pearl colour IIRC. If you want a real blood red colour try Candy Apple Red. It is basically a tinted lacquer that is sprayed over a silver or gold metallic base. When the sun hits it, awesome. Try a company called House of Kolor, American company but vast range of paints and I think they have agents over here.

In my experience, Tornado Red looks kinda orange in pic/real life.

Misano Red is the only one for me.

I have misano red on my TTC. It's a lovely pearlescent red and looks wonderful come rain or shine. The other red that looks blood like you maybe thinking of is amulet red which is very blood like and darker than misano smile. Hope that helps.

Not if it's been painted and polished properly, it fades devilishly quickly.

Personally I really, really dislike Misano red on most Audis - lovely colour but very wrong for the cars.

I think certain colours suit certain cars and their shape and styling. I personally think my misano TT looks cracking but not sure about misano maybe on an A4. I saw an avus A4 estate today and didn't like it. Yet I love avus on a TT smile. It might have something to do how certain colours pick up certain light with shape and style. I saw an old car the other day where it had gone pink with age and it got me a little worried about ownership of my beloved misano TT

Don't forget Absolute Red. I had it on a 2001 S3 and it was a really bright, almost fluourescent red. So red that when I was washing the car on a sunny day, everything else in my field of view started to turn bluey green; my brain just couldn't cope with that much red!

The deep red colour you are looking for I believe is "Amulet Red" found on A4, A6 and TT about 5 years ago.

It was changed in favour of Brilliant Red in 2003.

Hope this helps.
