Diesel Tuner Systems
Discussion
Hi Guy's,
Was just wondering if anyone had any experience of the above?
Long story short I'm going to the Nurburgring once a year and this year will be taking the Family A3 1.9 TDI (130), I've done a couple of other mods, mainly handling and stopping, but now I 'd like some more power.
The main reason I'm thinking about a box solution rather than a re-map is because my wife uses the car Mon - Fri and she's happy with the reliability and economy, as it's a five minute job to install I can pop it on before I go and take it off when I get back, then just keep it til I want it again.
I'd just be interested to know if anyone would suggest anything else, or any reasons why this solution would be a bad idea?

We supply the Tunit range. These work very well, reliable and adjustable. You can easily remove it when selling the car on, unlike a flashed re-map.
Not the cheapest but good and hassle free.
A customer of mine purchased a unit from a Hull based company called Diesel Tuner Systems Ltd. It was for his 2007 Vito van. Fitted the unit, as per the poor instuctions. Test drove within 500 yards the vehicle ecu light on, limp mode, checked the fault codes fuel pressure code. Contacted the company, cut a long story short the unit was returned a replacment was fitted still the same. Company did not want to know.
Fitted a Tunit box, not a problem in 20,000 miles

Hi Nuringer
We have done many 1.9tdi's and would be happy to go over the options with you first hand, we can supply and fit a programmable tuning box (not the plug and play type, these are not so good) or we can carry out a full ECU remap (non detectable option)which can target fuel economy, power of the best of both.
Both options can come with before and after dyno runs so you can see exactly what they offer.
Your not far from us, so feel free to give us a call to discuss options, or just pop over
Best wishes
