I am currently looking to replace four tyres on a MkIV R32, and was wondering what people would recommend without spending a fortune.

Am considering Goodyears but don't know whether I need GSD03s or F1 Asymmetrics, but would be happy to try another make. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Many thanks.

I've just put a pair of F1 Asymmetrics in the front of my Mk5 R32 and they ae brilliant and "only" cost £113 each.

Put 4 F1 Asymmetrics on my MKIV R32 in January and they have been brilliant in all conditions. I highly rate them although possibly slightly too much grip though. Quieter than the GSD3s I had before as well. Paid around £110 per corner.

I have run F1 Asymmetrics & Michelin Pilot Sport 2s.

F1s:

Soft sidewalled, so easier to scrub the edges off but a smoother ride.
Grippier & usually cheaper than the MPS2s

Michelin PS2s:

Got on promotion from Kwik fit.
Harder wearing
Better in the wet?
Harder ride

I'd use either again.
