i really want an a3 1.8 t sport but only being 19 i know insurance will be high..
thinking about 1.6 se has anyone driven one and would like to comment,

Hi...well I had a A3 1.8T as a co. car - 50,000 miles in about 18 months and not a bad car...not a great drivers tool though. Fun nonetheless, but the fact I didn't own it probably helped.

I've now got a 1.6SE as a shopping car - frankly it is a fine car but there are better cars to be had for the money - you can get something just as good for the shopping for less money, and more involving drivers cars can be had for less money too.

That said, I am toying with the idea of another 1.8T or an S3 to keep the miles off my TVR...they are well put together IMHO

i was looking at getting a 1.8T A3 a few months back but couldn't get insured (i'm 19 too). i got a golf 1.8T instead which in my opinion is actually better (excellent interior layout & those massive recaros as standard!) phone up Adrian Flux for a quote
