I have just had my VDU stop working on the VW Golf2002 PD 130.

I have an external Van Aarken "chip" that i had taken off due to needing a new clutch, well new clutch will be going in next week so i decided to help kill it by re-fitting the chip.

It's idiot proof(thats a good thing for me),as it sits in line with the engine computer,by a plug-and-play connection, and two wires for earth and live onto the battery.

I have taken it off before to see the difference with no problems. This time though,i have no VDU display, and i am sure the speedo is reading higher than it should. On the way to work to day,its telling me i am doing 40 mph, when the new(and chuffin everywhere)speed signs on the roadside are telling me i am doing 30 !

Anyone have any ideas what it could be ?

Do i need a new cluster,and if so,anybody have a set from a Bora for sale. ?
