Passat seat swaps !!
Discussion
Any advice or pointers appreciated on this one !!
Ive been offered some seats from a passat saloon and am wondering how they will work out in an estate, we both have the sport editions and the only difference in front seats is the colour and that they are heated, the latter of which my wife likes alot !! Now, is it easy enough to fit them and wire the switches and electrics up to work ?? Now, the backseats on the saloon have no 30/70 split and dont hinge either, is the rear even possible ?? Can the saloon seat be adapted to hinge in one go ?? I only ever put all the rear seats down anyway, never use the 30/70 split part of it.
Thanks in advance

I'm no passat back seat expert but I cant see the rear seat from the saloon being any good. I thought back seats in estates were stronger in their construction etc due to them not having any internal body work to rest up against?.
I could however be talking complete rubbish but I dont think it'll work. Also being as they dont hinge you're getting rid of a shed load of practicality!.
Tell the misses to toughen up a bit
