I'm not an expert on the particular model but will chime in as nobody else has.

Aircon must work and blow ice cold 'needs gassing' means fcensoredd

Gearbox, empty bit of car park or something drive slowly back and forth a short distance changing drive to reverse obviously. This should be smooth, seemless and clonk free. There should be no slack or delay in the torque convertor in taking up the drive when you release the brake pedal.

Electronics, just make sure they all work. Everything is expensive. DIS (LCD between speedo and tacho) is normally well knackered, sadly they all do it.

General check over for the state of bushes etc. they can go through them on top mounts and ARBs. A brand new MOT would be nice to see. Phone the test centre and ask if there were any advisories.

sold one of these a fewmonths ago.
in 2 ears of ownership:
front suspension/ arms needed replacing,
lcd display/dash pod went completely( may hav ebeen the fact that i froze it ( -30 for a week) - and took the immoboliser with it - needed a whole new dash pod ( £700),gear box showing signs of not liking reverse ( @ 102k miles), but all in all i loved it.... very smooth, quick and lots of toys..

Gearboxes on these are the weak link, so I understand, so pay particular attention to that. Had a problem with mine reading the nav disc which the dealer paid for - the unit was repaired at a place in Wiltshire I think. Also air con radiator fan needed replacement. That was it in a year of ownership.

Otherwise a great car, and certainly plenty of shove!
