New TTS 6 speed or S Tronic

This may be a little late but i've ordered a TTS coupe in black (not the pearl black because i couldnt tell where my £500 extra was going) and all i've added to it are parking sensors, BOSE and extended leather colour pack; oh and changed the wheels the to the 19" TTS wheels. Thats it- was impressed that most of the options i would have specced came standard.
BUT - my order at this moment has the 6 speed manual box in it because i've never driven the S Tronic. I am tempted by the flappy paddles like Michael SchOOmacher but have read that its a bit like Marmite on the S3. But the TTS has increased torque and BPH and so i wonder whether it might have been improved for the TTS. Ive never actually driven an auto before but i wouldnt want to be missing out on the best option for the car if it was worth having over the manual. I will worry about the extra £1400 when i pick the car up if i get any nods for the S Tronic from you guys.

I have a DSG R32 and love the gearbox.

Only way to tell f you want one is to test drive one in all modes and in all types of traffic and roads.

Try it on a S3, that should give you an indication as the power and torgue as similar.

If you decide to opt for the standard 6sp manual then i don't think you'll be dissappointed s you won't miss what you have never had but you'll always be thinking "what if"

You went for Brilliant over Phantom then?

Both colours are bar stewards to keep looking their best with Brilliant being the more difficult of the two. It really does make a tiny imperfection look absolutely awful.

i was thinking about going for Ibis white- the pictures i've seen of it look stunning but i really wasn't sure about it. I've gone for 2-tone black/magma red leather inside and the centre console will be red leather so it should look nice. I really am dicing with altering the order to the S Tronic in Ibis white instead of the manual in brilliant black.
