Is this MK2 GTI 16v worth the money?

He's looking for €6,000 (£4,700) but I guess he'd take €5,500 (£4,300) with a bit of negotiating.

Do you guys think the car is worth the money or is it way overpriced?

It was originally an 8V but he put in a rebuilt 16V engine.

Which one do you guys reckon one be the better of the two? Btw I can get this one for €4,500 (£3,500) which is €1,000 less than the the first one.

the second one every time

the first one isn't a particularly nice colour and the engine change will reduce it's value

Shame about the colour of the first car really! If that was originally a 16v and in a better colour it would look a really good buy.

I'll have to say 2nd car also providing it has decent history and evidence of proper servicing.

Another vote for the second car (although they both seem priced a tad high to me). With the second one you'll have some comback in case of any problems as it's a dealer selling it.
