Parts assistance Please......

a chap who works with me has just found out that the High Pressure fuel pump on his A6 Avant 2.5tdi has gone and it is £2k to replace.

Can anyone give me a suggestion as to where he can get a new one cheaper than that or the contact details of a reputable VAG breakers.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated
