Just got my first Audi and looking to fit a cycle rack on the back of it. Had a quick look at my brothers rack last night but it appears to want to rest on the rear bumper, which is pretty much flush on the Avant's so I get the impression that's not really going to work.

Anyone got any recommendations for one? It's a 2003 car if that helps.

Cheers,

Russ

Get a Thule roof rack with bike attachments. So much better than boot mounted racks.

Or a Halfrauds own make will do the job as well.

i would go thule all the way as well. i have the newer freeride thule carriers for the roof. the only gripe is they dont have any sliding adjustment for length like the older freeirde racks used too. Also put a bit of inner tube around the bit that clamps around the down tube as it will remove any pain t you have there...

Due to a "pricing error" I managed to pick up one of the Halfords advanced rear mounted carriers with specific A4 fitments for £40 instead of the £120 it should have cost.

Happy man biggrin

Thanks for all the suggestiosn though, I may look at some roof bars aswell soon.
