Has anyone else experienced poor tyre wear with the new Audi Q7? Mine, after only 5000 miles, required new front tyres. Any suggestions as to why?

Thanks

5K seems a tad excessive, be worth shelling out and getting a 4 wheel alighnment on it, you done much off road in it or smacked any kerbs etc??

Unfortunatly you are not alone, Q7 is very tyre hungry.

Audi have very kindly produced a leaflet with tips on how to prolong tyre life, your dealer should have one.

I read somewhere that if you get the VAG service, maint and tyres contract it pays for itself in tyres alone on the Q7. Although they might have realised by now and whacked the rates up.

If the Q7 is based on the Touareg then I would look there... Not sure...

VW had a lot of problems with tyre wear on the Touareg... Try googling 'mytreg' for the Touareg owners forum..

Did they wear evenly, or was there excess wear on inside/outside?
