Hello all,

I am new to this forum.
I want to buy a RS4 biturbo from 2000 with 140.000km
Can I expect serious turbo/ clutch damages in the near future.
Or am I a little bit worried.

Hpoe to get an answer from you.

Regards.

See www.rs246.com for all kinds of info on RS4s etc. They have a search facility too.

Clutches are strong if not repeatedly abused.

Turbos likewise if warmed up and cooled down correctly.

Hi Dutch.

Got your pm,

The gearbox and turbos on RS4 are excellent, and rarely give problems.

The K04 turbos are much more reslilient than the K03 models fitted to the S4, so I woudn't be too scared.

Just ensure you get a report on the condition (before you buy if possible) and then you know what to fix if anything.

Thanks for your answers.
So, also for the earlier RS4 (2000)you don't see any problems at 140.000km ( normal use)

I wouldn't be surprised if the MAF and diverter valves were very well worn - they won't flag an error on vag com but will cost you power (not expensive parts).
