2007 3.2 Roadster - car has done 11k miles, but after track day at Oulton park, needed new discs and pads. Fortunately done under warranty, but surely the discs should last longer. Anybody else had problems. No feedback from dealer.

Should see 20k with ease on both but if you gave them a hammering at the track expect less.

THe first set on my R32 did about the same but since then they have been better. It was down to a bad batch of discs (the original ones developed hot spot/weaknesses). I now use EBC Red Stuff Pads with OEM discs

Several people over on Tyresmoke have reported that Red Stuff pads crucify OEM discs.

Aren't Red Stuff pads for trackdays/hooning? Surely Green Stuff pads are more suited to daily driving?

I cooked my 2003 R32's pads on a trackday and have since replaced them with grooved Tarox discs and Pagid RS44 Orange pads. Braking is much improved and they don't fade under heavy abuse either.

Not really had a problem with Red Stuff and OEM Discs. First set of red stuff I had fitted was pre Castle Coombe on new discs whilst bedding in I had a judder - the garage that fitted said to "use them hard" on the track and see what happened and they'd warranty them...lo and behold 3 x 20min sessions and they were a dream! Think I have just gone onto my 3rd set of discs at 70K and all is well

If you can get them for the TT (but I suspect not as I cannot get them for the R32) try the new EBC Ultimax discs, my friend has them on his S3 and is extremely impressed
