Is it just me or has the R8 dropped about 10k in the last month. I'm sure they only went down to 80k last time I looked and now there are some for 70k - ouch!

Everything has to depreciate - the R8 at first appreciated and now will start to depreciate! The 64million$ question is how much and how fast?

Yeah true, it certainly appears to be off to a fast start this month - almost Aston territory!

Firstly, the premiums have gone and used examples fetching list price is a thing of the past. With all the carpet baggers bailing out and the credit crunch kicking in, some dealers have new stock available for imeadiate delivery. In addition, there are plenty on the used market to choose from with only a few cautious buyers.

So where will they be in 6 months time? Under £60K?

I've got a miley (relatively) one for 70 - lower mile cars are still selling for low mid 70s.

Options don't really add much in terms of value (provided the obvious essentials are there) so that's fairly painless for a 78.5K car smile

Its just a question of how quickly it sells and at what price? Someone was saying that there was something in Autocar this week about how many there are unsold and implying that there is some kind of problem shifting them at the moment.

It's hard to guess but many cars are suffering from huge depreciation drops at the moment. With all due respect to the steelers, they will be keeping the markdowns in the latest Glasse's/Gap Book guides to themselves. For example, RS4's are dropping by 1,400 quid a month but you don't see the stealers reducing their sticker price by the same % each month.......

No shortage of interest - the problem with that market is the moment is that every has got themselves into nasty cars, expensive finance and negative equity.

This makes it *extremely* hard work to take a part exchange. Loads of people at the moment asking if we can overcharge them for cars to allow them to get out of one pile of negative and into another.
