I have just purchased an Audi A4 S line 2.0TDI and i wanted to know if it is easy to DIY an ipod install in the glove box?

I can buy the lead from Audi but would it be easier for me to just pay them to install it? Or would that be money for old rope?

Thanks

Hi,

I remember when I got the A8 and asked Audi if they could fit an iPod connector they said they couldn't, but recommended a company who could who offered very reasonable rates and came to my house and did it in an hour. I'll try and dig out their website for you.

I pod kit is about £90+Vat. Consists of two leads and a black box. Box is mounted behind glove box, lead from black box to ipod though additional hole made inside glovebox. Other lead goes from blackbox to rear of head unit, lots of individual pins that have to be located in the right places within the radio connectors.

1 hours labour to fit (£88+Vat) Price will varry slightly with your local dealers labour rate. Basically £200 fitted inc.

Its not really something a customer can do.

You could do it yourself easy enough but we sell them at £120 inc parts labour and vat. With a 90 quid part u mite aswel just have it all done.
