Hudsons, Welwyn (bottom of the hill) is a VW specialist where I take my 1.8T Golf (same engine).

Try Vagcheck

Wak's based out of Egham, but may go up to you in Herts. He's got a lot of history with TT's and I'd use him if I wasn't 250 miles away!

Vagcheck use Dean Hill at 4Rings for their servicing and more standard (not mods) maintenance. Dean has done a few jobs on my car (ARB, cambelt, servicing) and I can't recommend him enough. He is mobile but based in Dartford so this may be just too far?

Mark Tempest Autocenter in Welwyn Garden City are a good choice. They're a VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda specialist.
