A6 MMI firmware update to fix Bluetooth problem?
Discussion
Hi all
I've just bought a 2005 A6 4.2 S-Line - excellent bit of kit! It has a built in phone handset in the centre armrest, and I've bought a PAYG simcard to put into the little slot underneath it, and it works fine. But I can almost get my Nokia N95 8GB to pair to the car too, and not having two phone numbers & all the diverting calls nonsense would be much simpler. The car & the phone both see each other and I get to the stage of entering passcodes, but they then refuse to pair up.
Is there some kind of firmware update for the car that might fix this? (the phone is running the latest firmware already) My local dealer didn't seem to know, and I've Googled everywhere...
Cheers
Andy

Some cars have issues with the MMI bluetooth, and there is a firmware upgrade that my car had to have and mine is a 2007 A6. I would ask dealer to check with Audi and to download new software (and check they have installed it right, first installation on mine messed up the cd auto changer!) Its all fine now though and works with various Nokia's, Sony Ericsons, Blackberry, havent tried any others.
