Audi S3 turbo problem... Help
Discussion
Hi iv only owned my s3 for about two weeks and only the other day noticed this issue. In the morning after the car has sat over night, i get in to drive and it seems the turbo is not coming in. no boost. If i stop the car turn the ignition off then start the car again it is absolutly fine.
There is no smoke or nioses just no boost untill i switch off and on!!!
The car has full history and has done 88000. It has been chiped and running 267 bhp.
Has any one got any ideas?

It could be a coilpack issue or even MAF issue.
I know it's not quite the same fault but my S2 (yes I know it isn't an S3!) had a fault whereby if I started the car up I would only get one shot at full boost and after I used that up I would have absolutely no boost whatsoever.
I took it to a friends place with vagcom and we plugged it in only to be told that the car was over boosting. It later turned out that the vacuum hose that runs from the back of the manifold to the ECU had split. This meant that the ECU was not able to gauge boost and once I had given it full throttle once it decided that the car was boosting too much and completely shutting it down. Once this was replaced the car was back to it's old self and rather than being convincingly beaten by 1.9tdi Astra I had a play with a Boxster S on the way home.
Get the car VAGCOM'd and check out any error codes.
Also, once a car has had error messages they are often stored so it's worthwhile pulling the ECU fuse out for about 30 seconds and seeing how it runs after?
