Import DAMAGED 2002 Passat 2.8 V6

Hi, I have recently taken over a 2002 Passat 2.8 V6
It was given to me by a friend who owed me money and as I don't have a car in this country I thought I would experiment with it. The car is damaged at the front end and I have a few parts for it but as the car was never registered in this country how do I go about getting this sorted. The paper work he has given me with the car does not make any sense to me at all. I am in and out of the country all the time so if it is a small matter then I can have a go myslef or if you can recommend an individual/company that will sort it for me at a price then let me know. Any help from you guys will be much appreciated.
