If you drive an Audi with low profile tyres and tyre pressure monitoring you'll be interested to learn that if you suffer a puncture or need to change tyres, you may be off the road for up to FOUR DAYS! I drive an R8, the other day I went to top up my tyre pressure, while unscrewing the dust cap the valve sheared off half way down so I couldn't put any air in. I went to my local tyre fitter who advised I needed to go to Audi to get a new valve. Audi parts at Audi Guildford did not have one in stock, which I found amazing and they have no policy of stocking these parts which are common to several Audi models. I ordered the part on Saturday and got a call on the Wednesday to say it had arrived! If I'd suffered a puncture I would have been without the car all this time. I was quite shocked by this and so brought it to the attention of the Dealer Principal at Audi Guildford, who was completely unaware of the issue.

If you drive an Audi with tyre pressure monitoring and your car doesn't carry a spare wheel, I suggest you contact you local dealer to establish whether they have spares in stock, otherwise you could get a shock!
