that looks like its got its fair share of OAK GREEN TAX attached... ultra rare highly desirable colour - does that make it double in price hell no!
i would not consider a 1991 golf that is a 8v and 5 door with 180K on the clocks the most desirable model and have seen plenty for far less than that. Have you looked in the classifieds on here?

DrG - exactly. I sold a 1991 8v 5dr with same spec, 130k in Red for £800 having bought it for £650 and that was 2 years ago.
I wasnt going to mention it as i have done in another thread only a couple of weeks ago on the values of MK2 Golfs but.....
i bought a 1991 oak green 3door 16v with 125k on it , full service history every MOT, has more options including electric sunroof, rear headrests, lowered suspension, just had head gasket an top end rebuild for £1000 reduced from £1500 and it was advertised on PistonHeads!!! My other golf 16v with a 2.0 16v engine and full leather cost me £1500 and thats the most ive spent on one and ive had 8.
There are some mk2s around that warrent nearly £2000, they are ALL 16vs or VR6/20VT conversions. Next someone will ask if £3500 for one with 100K on it from Volkswizard is great value to.
