17090 transmission range sensor F125 not a plausable signal

had these codes on a 2005 A6 6 speed auto, anyone any ideas?

Every now and then, daily now, the letters for the auto box flash. In the handbook it says 'take it to an Audi dealer'.

Took it to Mos Motors of Fenstanton for MOT today and they kindly put it on their Snap-on code reader. Mo's men are very helpful, traditional family firm.

I got 4,000km to do over xmas, what are the chances?

Sounds like your gearbox ECU is failing. Sadly too common on mecha's.
