The tailgates can squeek a fair amount but it is possible to stop this for awhile. The rear light cluster can leak but once sealed you'll see no further problems.
That particular lump should see you to around 140bhp and is fairly bullet proof so long as it has had regular oil changes. If it has aircon, check to see if it works as if it doesn't it can cost you abit of money to fix.
You shouldn't see any signs of rust as the body is galvernised.
