Blackberry connection for VW Passat
Discussion
just had a new daily steed delivered in the form of a VW Passat. I am having a bit of trouble getting the telephone module to recognise my Blackberry curve and VW are not being helpful. Any advice as to how I can make the car and phone recognise each other (software reprogramme) or am I knackered ?
Blackberry works fine with the bluetooth in the audi A6, I wouild guess that its a similar system.
In the A6 you have to set the blackberry to search for bluetooth devices, i select the phone menu in the audi and then the Audi should come up on the list, enter the pair code into the phone 1234 on audi, and thats its done. The first connection takes some time to load the phonebook if you have an extensive one.
The first time i did it it was a struglle because the instructions in the manual are unclear. You need to make sure that the Blackberry bluetooth is set to discoverable, and once connected allow automatic connection for the audi device.
Hope this helps
