Folks,

Colleague in the office with a VR6 'rado has just had the engine let go, oil pump drive shaft failed and mullered the bearing housing rendering the block useless..

Anyone got any good contacts/links/recommendations for supply of a new lump?

TIA,

slinky

Dr G

Steve's VW dismantlers stock a lot of good engines from broken cars smile

PM me direct as I have a spare 2.9 engine block in Bournemouth available. You will need to collect it.

PM me with a phone number and we'll discuss it. £50 and it's yours.

Your next best bet is to find the UK Corrado Forum and look for a car being broken. That's your next best chance of finding a 2.9 lump.

2.8's (code=AAA) from Golf VR6's are easier to find in breakers, and may be an acceptable swap. If you transfer the Corrado throttle body across you'll get about half the power difference back immediately.
