Does anybody know how difficult it is to change a cambelt and tensioners on the above car? I am a pretty handy DIY mechanic and used to similar jobs and i am guessing that being an in-line/transaxle layout there sould be plenty of room to work on it. I am just interested if there are any particular 'tricks of the trade' on this model (radiator out etc..). Any advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks.

Basically once youve got the front end into the "service position" its all fairly simple, can be done in 3 hours by semi-pro, personal record is 1hr 20mins biggrin

One tip i have is get yourself 4 new crank v-belt pulley bolts before you do the job, the 4 gold coloured 6mm allen key ones love to round off and cause you a headache. you will need to remove the fan (held from behind with an 8mm allen bolt)

and you will need a jack or similar to align the front end when putting it back on from the service position otherwise its a pain to line everything up and start the 2 main securing bolts on each side of the front panel

Standard practice at the stealer is to do the water pump at the same time.
