So what's peoples thoughts?

I am thinking of a standard three year old one, with say average miles of 30kish.

Looking around on the trader and here prices vary widely.
Dealers seem to have them up at the same prices as private sales.

The SE vRS does appeal but with the potential added outlay at this time and the same again, dealers have lower mileage cars up for less then private.

I am in the East Yorkshire area and have contacted my local Skoda dealer but they don't even have one to test drive.

you know how I rate the one we have ... you are welcome to test drive it though I guess that it is quite a long way to come!

I'll keep my eyes open 'down here' for you.

Get one - you will not regret it .

I had one from new for 18 months back in 2004 and I only sold it because I fancied an Octavia vrs .

The Fabia vrs is a great car for the money - end of !

Get one,if you look on skoda used cars main web site, you should get the right spec but may have to travel.

Had my 06 plate fabia VRs for 3 months now and raises a smile when you give some beans etc...mines in black which is nice when clean but also looks great in yellow!

Great wee cars, i'm on my third!!!eek
Dont go for an SE though. You could pick up a much better spec'd 'standard' vRS for alot cheaper than an SE. All you get 'extra' with the SE is leather, Blue paint, cd changer, cruise and a number on the seats saying what number it is. You can get all of the above (bar the number on the seat) on a 'satndard' one plus xenons, sunroof, heated seats
just my 2p worth!!
