Welcome to PH.

From what I remember there have been a few issues with the TT (I presume you are talking about the MK1) the most serious been failing dash pods (speedo etc) on all models and ignition coils on the 1.8T

This page should help you - http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/index.htm?md=...

I had a mark 1 roadster for six years. Was a great car, but certainly not bullet proof.

New dash binnacle, power steering pump, shock absorbers, arb, indicators, headlamp washers, coil packs, mostly covered by warranty.

...and the main dealer was a shocker..

but I did love that car

I should add that I've had to take the car in a couple of times to the Dealer for some warranty work. They have been fantastic on both occasions - far better than experiences I've had with both BMW and Land Rover.
