What would you do

A guy who I know as bought a 2.0 tdi A4 Avant from main dealer. He had the car 2 weeks its been back at the main dealer now for the last 2 weeks he as now found out that the Turbo as blown and they have found swarth in the gear box. I told him to reject the car and find another,could be a lot of probs as the miles mount up. Would you advise the same

How old was the car?
Sounds like a good plan to me though - blown turbo and swarf in the gearbox are two unrelated problems I think? I don't know anything about the lube system, or the car, but assume that the oil lubricating the turbo is engine oil, not transmission oil so the turbo problem is not related to the swarf in the gearbox...?

Sounds like your idea is the right one then.
IMO Your mate won't get a replacement, but it's worth a go either way.
