Engine code location

Guys,

I need to find the engine code of my car and have no idea where to find it! It's a 2005 1.9TDI Seat Leon FR.

First three letters of the engine code on the logbook

If you can't find it in the logbook, there's usually a label somewhere in the car (under the boot floor in my Skoda) with the same details.

If all else fails, take the plastic shield off the top of the engine - the code will be stamped on the engine itself, probably somewhere near the inlet manifold.
