hi, am looking at a porsche 550 spyder replica with one of these engines. its done 22,000kms, wondered how robust they are, if the carbs require a lot of attention etc?

Also, in a 600kilo car any idea how quick they are?

Thanks,

Craig

Pretty bomb proof to be honest as long as they're looked after (regular serivce).

As for how much power, not a great deal in stock form but you could go for another cam, bigger carbs and a bit of head work to give it a bit more go. You could also stick bigger barrels and pistons on it without too much trouble. What carbs are on it at the moment?
