Morning all,

I recently had to let a nice T4 go that had some lovely big wheels.

Having just aquired a T5 Transporter (new shape), its needing a couple of tyres, so thoughts are with fitting some nice big wheels. It has 205/50/16" tyres fitted now, but was wondering if about rolling radii. I used to have a spresdsheet to work out trye aspects and percentage difference from original.

Does anyone have this?

There are lots of options for the T5 sharing the same 5 x 120 PCD pattern as BMW and Land Rover. I am unsure of my spigot diameter at present.

I think I have bolts as well, as there is someone selling 20 studs on ebay that allow fitment of Range Rover wheels. these need flat head nuts, that can be bought too.

Now BMW seem to have a tapered hole, is this correct? Lots of the ads on here use the term staggered. Does this mean a bigger pair (ie back)?

Lastly, if anyone has a nice solution for a reasonable price let me know.

Thank you in advance.

JB

Hi, I've got these on mine

They are 20" Stilautos from Vanstyle.

My Mate has just bought a T5 and we managed to find a massive set of aftermarket rims for a RR Sport/X5 for it. The stud pattern is the same and he's used the standard wheel bolts. The taper is the same as the rims. He bought some spigot rings and they fit a treat, if not a bit too big, for me anyway! I've just dropped him a text to ask about the size he bought and where from. I'll report back.....

Tuscans and Transporters eh? Snap.....

Right, your hubs at the moment have a 65.1 dia and the RR Sport/X5 have dia of 72.6. The spigots are available but we can't remember where he got them from.

A problem you will have is the offset, they don't foul anything but do stick out a bit. The rolling radius is another thing. 4x4 tyres obviously tend to be quite a bit bigger so the speedo will be thrown out quite a bit.

The tyres on mine are 275/40/20 which when I worked it out gave about a plus 4mph reading.

This site will work it out for you....

Thanks for this Dan, its all very helpful. I am still unsure about the wheel bolts, if these are converted to studs in the case of fitting the Range Rover Items. From what I make out the offset is 58mm, on the Land Rover 20" Sport wheels. Spigot dimensions help too. I may turn some up ready (if I use RR items).

Tuscan is long gone. Miss it though.

I have bought a set of Range Rover Stormer wheels, with 275/45 R20 tyres. Ideal i would like slightly smaller profiles on the front. They dont rub, but I have a good tyre at 275/40 R20.

Does anyone have a 275/40 or 45 going spare, as at present I have an odd set?
