A mate has been offered a Audi TT cabriolet,2002,02plate,225 Quattro,black,black leather,bose stereo upgrade,just had a service,76125 miles.12 months tax,8 months test.
The guy wants £7000.
I know nothing about the values of these vehicles,so to you experienced people out there,is this car priced right?
Thank you

on vauxhall website there is a link for 'value my car' - this uses the glasses guide, ok it's only the trade in values, but will give you a rough idea

Cambelt should be done at 60K or 4 years I believe, so bear that in mind, also while it's being done get the water pump changed only about £15 from Audi as they decompose as the blades are plastic and to change them the cambelt has to come off.

HI,

£7k seems reasonable, but as other posts - check cambelt etc.Other things I have learnt from TT Roadster ownership are as follows:

TTs are infamous for having dashpod failures- not sure if it had been ironed out by 2002 - but if there is any history with the car - check to see if it has been changed. Audi were replacing these F.O.C - but if he buys and has difficulties - it may be troublesome to get this done on an older vehicle. Signs of impending failure are incorrect temp readings / variable fuel level etc. Also probs with "aliens" which are the headlamp washers - make sure they work properly - will only work with headlights on and after a 3 to 4 second burst on the windscreen washer stalk. Check footwells for damp and ensure roof is in fine fettle and works well, these are very expensive to replace.

A very enjoyable car to own and drive - and are reasonably cheap to run and repair.

Hope this helps a little
