Mk5 Golf Interior Lights

Hi all, where can I get the lights that go in the footwell of the driver and passenger side? my car doesn't have any at the moment (base model), will the space exist? (I can't go check at the moment as I've done my back in) is it an easy fit?

Also when do car batteries need replacing? Thanks
