Audi MMI update - advice needed for Northern Indy...?
Discussion
Hi
My local audi dealer wants an extortionate £86+vat per hour to do a really simple task - run the update for my Audi A6 (2005) MMI (high) to bring it up to v5150 or similar. I need it to get the extra functionality of the 2008 NAV disk...
I have access to the upgrade disk as it's a standard Audi part, but understand that some components (eg CD) may go into "component protection" mode if I run it myself, and will need a Vagcom to unlock them again (which I don't have)
Does anyone know of a Northern UK indy (Leeds/York/Manchester/Sheffield) that can do this for a less extortionate price... not looking for free, but as a 10minute job, £100 seems a bit steep from a main dealer....
Many thanks

My understanding was that this should have been a free upgrade from the dealers anyway, it certainly was on my 54 S4 as the 2008 nav DVD enables TMC which should have been on since the begining but had been delayed due to some licensing problems.
