Hi,

Anybody know what the correct intervals are for changing the fuel filter on a 2.0 Tdi ?

Is it an easy job to do and is the system self priming / bleeding?

Thanks for any info.

Dunno about the mk5 but the mk 4 requires draining every 10k and replacement every 20k.

Again, for the mk 4 changing it was very easy (just wear marigolds though otherwise your hands will stink for days) and didn't require priming, but I did have to start the engine, let it die as the filter filled up, and then start it again.

I guess you could pre-fill it but it would be a ballache trying to get it in I think.

IIRC, fuel filter on a B7 2.0 TDI is part of an AVS2 so typically approaching 40k.
