im looking at a new company car and have narrowed it down to the A5 and the A6, the reason for the A5 is that its sleek and looks really good, the reason for the A6 is because of the price! only £26,000! audi have said i can try the a5 on an extended test drive but i dont think it is going to be big enough for the amount if stuff i have to take all over the country.
which is the better tourer and which is the better all rounder?
Both cars are 2.0tdi but the a6 has the new economic engine

If you can hang on a few months there might be some more attractive options open to you. According to the rumour mill:
- Audi stop-start being introduced "in the summer" with more models upgraded as time goes on
- A5 Sportback rumoured to be in showrooms come October. Sounds much like a cross between an A4 Avant and an A5; has four doors and a hatch, possibly with slightly longer wheelbase than the current A4/5.
There's also an A7 due at some point which might be something like a Sportback version of the A6. That one might be next year, or it could be that the A7 and A5 Sportbacks are reversed chronologically - details are thin on the ground at the moment. A few dealers have told me they have seen the A5 sportback in Germany but weren't allowed close to it. This could of course prove to be the A7.
