B7 RS4 "06"-"07" Front Indicator conversion
Discussion
Hi again guys!
My B7 is an 06 model with the orange front indicators. After seeing the 07 model's clear indicators, I have to say it looks alot cleaner.
I phone my Audi dealer and the chap said it's because the headlight and indicator housing is a sealed unit, I'd have to buy new head lights at a cost of around £400 per side.
Obviously that a ludacris sum of money just to change some indicator covers.
So this where, hopefully, you guys can help. Is there a cheaper way I can change my indicators for the desired 07 look?
To help, I guess it would be worth noting my car is specc'ed with the Bi-Xenon adaptive headlights.
Many thanks,
Darren

I enquired into getting a pair from an Indy and it was about £900 including fitting.
The lights occasionally come up for sale on eBay, but the sellers know how much they're worth. Likewise, a pair came up on rs246.com classifieds and went for about £500. The upside is modders are interested in the units you've got at the minute, as they are xenons, so you might get some of your cash back.
And then there is the option of heating up the unit with a hairdryer so the glue loses its power and you can then get at the orange lens to remove it. Again, check on rs246 for the instructions.
Hope this helps.

Nah, we had the later clear ones on an s-line and IIRC you can see the lense is clear, changing the bulb won't make it clear!
Looks much better clear, BUT around 1k to change is serious wonga for such a detail that only certain anal individuals like us will notice!! Also will add zero to resale value.
Got a miltek exhaust yet? That's where my money would go
