Continuing the theme, my A4 B5 has a phone cradle in the centre armrest. A 'curly' wire extends from this to an interface box next to the handbrake. The cradle is for a Nokia 6115 or something like that, the old business types phones.

Audi say they dont do replacement cradles for my phone, but another retailer said that it might be possible to connect a bluetooth device in to the control box and then hook the phone via bluetooth as it is unlikey I will find a replacement cable or cradel for my phone E71 (Nokia).

Anyone know if such as bluetooth interface adaptor exists and where it may be got?

Cheers

Unfortunately I don't know the answer to your question, but having just bought myself a B6 I've been looking at the bluetooth options and found this site; audiforum.us - it used to be a satnav forum but changed it's name, and althoguh it says american there are many brits on there. My god do they know their stuff. Have a browse through - I'm sure your question will have been covered.

I've had this one before and never found an answer more useful than an old phone off ebay and a second sim card.

This is an overly elaborate (and expensive) solution - but that pic is a B5 RS4 we had last year and fitted 2008 RNS-E and Audi Blueooth integration to. Cracking piece of kit and works flawlessly.

Looks expensive, how much is that?

If I get a second phone off ebay with duplicate sim card, how does that work with the sim? Is the car going to ring when I am not in it?

Generally you have just one phone switched on at a time - as I understand it 'your' sim card would be the primary if both were turned on.

That install was 15-1600 from memory.
