I have a 2006 Petrol A4 Avant 2.0T Quattro SE that I bought new. 55K later I've had no problems at all but the warranty is going to expire in July - is there anything I might do well to notice before the warranty does run out?

Ring your local audi centre. Tell them your warranty is about to run out and ask if it is possible to give the car a free health check.

My center do it all the time.

Customer is happy cos the car is check and any problems fixed for free, Audi centre are happy, cos they get some extra work.

The warranty on my A4 expired in Septmber last year. IIRC it was about £600 to extend for a further year. I ummed and ahhd for a couple of weeks as its a lot of money. Then the dealer pointed out I had had 1 warranty claim that cost nigh on £2k, so I bit the bullet.

2 months later had a problem that took months to locate and fix. Repair plus hire car (if I had had to pay for it) ran to thousands of £s.

Mind, also have had warranties in the past and never claimed a thing.
