I need to remove the rear bumper on our new A3 Cabrio to fit a towbar. The plastic rear panel across the back that's just inside the boot lid needs to be removed to gain access to the main bumper fixings, but there are no obvious screws/plugs etc. to enable this panel to come off!

Anyone know the secret to getting this thing off?

Pull it upwards. No offence, but if you couldnt work that out, you're chances of fitting a tow bar is slim to none.

Mate with respect - I've pulled and pushed this thing but since the car is only 4 weeks old AND it belongs to my missus... I didn't want to break it (if you're married, you'll understand why rolleyes)!

... I thought this was the point of a forum anyway?

I think it's a bit new for anyone much outside of Audi to have any experience with it.
